Richard and I decided to work on our new year resolution- going to new places- last night. We went to Ice Martini Bar in downtown Woodstock. I walk by it often when heading to Ember for yoga and always thought that from the outside the restaurant looks chic, cool, and fun. Ice offers sushi and tapas, martinis (of course) and specialty drinks as well as wine.
We decided to stick with martini drinks since it is in the name.
Richard started with the Dirty Bleu and I started with the Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Richard said the bleu cheese stuffed olives were "the best I've ever had", and mine tasted just like cake, delious!
For food we had gouda mac and cheese, artichoke dip (they were out of hummus), California roll, and a salmon roll. All food was very good in taste and size. The menu had a lot of options with good descriptions of the food. They do not have seafood sauce to dip sushi in.
The other martinis we tried were the Cosmo and Lemon drop. Both exceptional! Ice Martini Bar can make good martinis.
The prices for both food and drink were moderate. Not a place we could go on a weekly basis, but a nice place for a date.
We will be back again!

Hot Buy- Blue flats
I got these little gem of a shoe at Target for $7.48. They also had emerald green and coral, not in my size of course. They are a little stiff at first, but I wore them to work today and they are starting to not be so stiff.
Side note: Hot yoga kicked my butt today!

We did it!
I love our new bathroom! We finished in enough time to watch the Falcons. No major mess ups and we didn't even fight! We are proud of the outcome of our first project.

Watching paint try
The title of the post is what Hubs and I are doing right now... because we started our first semi project in our house. As with most everyone else, we made resolutions this year and one of those is to make our house into our home. First project to complete: downstairs 1/2 bath. To start out, the bathroom wasn't bad. The walls were green with a border and it just had a pedestal sink, no storage anywhere, not horrible, but not wonderful. We liked green but wanted it a bit more rich and earthy since the living, dining, and kitchen are earthy. We got a new vanity with sink and mirror to address the storage issue. So at this point, we have applied our first coat as paint, hence why we are currently watching it dry. After the next coat, we are going to install the new vanity, give it a quick cleaning, and presto, our first project will be done!
