24 weeks

I went to your 24 week appointment on May 9th. Your Daddy got a new (better!) position at work and was unable to come to this appointment. The ultrasound tech had to check you again because you wouldn't show us everything last time :)  This time, she was able to see everything and you look great! Your heartbeat was at 136 and all the fluid is at the right levels. You are measuring at about 1 pound 9 ounces. She should me that you are a girl! She gave us some really cool pictures, one of your complete hand (you're waving) and great ones of your profile! I have to go back to the Dr. on May 22nd to take the Glucose test (I passed!) Only one more month of every 4 week appointments, then they turn into 2 weeks.

We have gotten your crib, bed skirt, and a mattress. We are still waiting on your dressers/ changer. Your closet is starting to fill up and Daddy already loves to buy you things!

20 weeks- half way!

We made it half way! We were so excited to go to your 20 week appointment on April 9th. We knew we were going to get to see you on the ultrasound, it has been since you were 12 weeks since we had seen you. We also knew that they would be checking out your anatomy to make sure everything looks healthy and find out your sex! Dad told the ultrasound tech that we DIDN'T want to know your sex because we were having a gender reveal party for you on the 26th! A lot of people thought we were crazy to wait so long to find out what sex you are but your Dad and I love surprises! When you came up on the screen it was funny because you were butt/back up. The tech had a little trouble seeing everything she needed to see which means I get to see again at the 24 week appointment! She made us close our eyes when she was looking at your "parts" and put the results in an envelope for us. She said your height and weight and blood flow through your heart was all in the normal range. Up to this point, I had not felt you move much and was a little concerned about it, but after some research (google!) I found out it is quite normally to not feel baby move until later in pregnancy and that made me feel better!

16 weeks

We had a quick check up on March 14th. The Dr's office had to take an vile of blood to compare with the 12 week blood work. We didn't get to see you on the ultrasound but Dr. Ghandi brought in this cool little hand handle machine and we GOT TO HEAR YOUR HEARTBEAT for the first time. I think we could have listened to that heart beat all day. Daddy recorded it, and it is so fun to look back and the video and get to hear your heart. It was beating at 144/145 beats per minutes.
